I’m the owner of Sage Door Bookkeeping, where I help small business owners and self-employed professionals stay on top of their finances—without the stress or overwhelm. Based just north of Seattle, WA, I work remotely with clients who want their books handled accurately, neatly organized, and explained in plain English—no accounting jargon required.
Built During a Busy Season of Life
I started Sage Door Bookkeeping while raising two little ones under two (yes, it’s been a wild season!). My goal has always been to create a bookkeeping service that brings clarity and calm, so you can stop worrying about your numbers and focus on what matters most.
A Practical, Margin-Focused Approach
In my professional work, I’ve consistently focused on cost savings and protecting company margins. I’ve carried that same mindset into my work with small business owners—helping them understand their numbers, make informed purchasing decisions, and identify opportunities to improve profitability. That practical, margin-focused approach is something I bring to every bookkeeping client I work with.
Experience You Can Trust
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington, with a focus on Finance and Management. Before starting my own business, I spent 14 years in the watersports industry, most recently as an International Sales Manager. In that role, I worked closely with distributors communicating pricing and product availability, advising on purchasing and key sellers, negotiating pricing, and providing guidance on logistics—all with the goal of supporting healthy margins for both the customer and the company.
Hands-On Accounting & Ongoing Education
Throughout my career, I’ve handled a wide range of day-to-day accounting tasks, including invoicing customers, collecting payments, issuing credits, posting cash, processing expenses, managing check runs, and sending wire payments. I’m currently completing my Bookkeeper Launch certification and working toward my QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification to bring even more knowledge and value to my bookkeeping clients.
Outside the Office!
When I’m not bookkeeping, you’ll usually find me outside with my family and our border collie, Bella. I enjoy wake surfing, hiking, snow skiing, yoga, and exploring new places. I also enjoy traveling, camping in our camper, and off-roading in our Jeep. Life is busy—but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
